Dude, you still up? I just finished playing Summit Rush and I swear to god I can't sleep now, my brain is still like, doing flips. You know how Sarah told me it was just "drive through hills, balance your car, race to the finish"? Like, technically yeah, that's what you do. But it's SO much more than that. That's like describing pizza as "bread with toppings." Like, true, but totally misses the point.

Honestly, when I first started, I thought it was gonna be boring. Just tap gas, tap brake. I flipped my little buggy like three times on the first hill, and I was like, "Ugh, this is stupid." But then I noticed how the car kinda *feels* different when you hit the gas on the way down a slope versus going up. And the fuel, man, the fuel isn't just a timer, it's like a whole other puzzle.

I don't usually like racing games, your know that, but this is different. It's like a puzzle game disguised as a racing game. You gotta think about every little bump. There was this one part, like stage 7, where there's this super steep hill and then a tiny gap, and I kept running out of fuel right before the finish. I must have tried it twenty times. Then I figured out if you hit the accelerator *just right* on the way down the previous hill, you get this huge boost, and you can actually glide over the gap with your engine off for a second, saving precious fuel. When I finally nailed it, I literally cheered out loud. At 1 AM. My cat looked at me like I was insane.

And the sound! The little "clink" when you grab a fuel can is so satisfying. Or the way your engine kinda sputters when you're almost empty, it makes you really panic. I started playing around 8 PM, thinking I'd just do a couple stages, and next thing I knew it was almost midnight. I totally lost track of time. I even recommended it to my cousin Mark already, he's super into those physics puzzle games.

It's just so clever. It makes you feel like your really smart when you figure out a tricky section. It's not just about speed, it's about momentum and timing and kinda, like, becoming one with your little car. It's fun. Really, really fun. You gotta try it, dude. Seriously. I'm still thinking about that stupid stage 7. I bet I could do it even faster now.
