Leviathan Hunter: Trigger Happy
About Leviathan Hunter: Trigger Happy
Dude. You awake? It's 11 PM and I literally cannot sleep because of this game, Leviathan Hunter: Trigger Happy.
Okay so, remember how I told you what that guy said about it? "Cute cat on a fishing adventure, tap to drop hook, shoot fish, upgrade weapons." Yeah, that's like describing pizza as "bread with toppings." Technically true, but completely misses the point. It's so much more than that.
I started playing, right? And it was exactly like he said. Cute little cat, dropping the line, catching a bunch of sardines and stuff. Kinda chill, a bit boring even. I was like, "Okay, this is fine, I guess." Then I hit like, the third deep sea zone, and everything changed. Suddenly, the water got super dark, and there were these *huge* shadows moving. I dropped my line, and instead of a bunch of tiny fish, this massive, glowing anglerfish thing with teeth like daggers just *swallowed* my hook. My cat character started freaking out, and the game suddenly turned into this intense boss fight! I had to dodge its charges and aim my little harpoon gun at its weak spots, all while trying to reel it in. It was insane!
Honestly, the first time I heard that *thump* of my upgraded harpoon hitting its eye, I actually gasped. Like, it's not just fishing, it's about hunting these crazy sea monsters, these actual Leviathans! All the "fishing" you do before is just to get money to upgrade your gear so you can *survive* the next leviathan encounter. Your not just shooting fish, your preparing for war.
I didn't like how slow the beginning felt, I almost quit. But because I kept going, I found out that if you use the electric shock tool right when a leviathan charges, it stuns them for a second and you can get a free shot in. That changes everything! It's not just mindless tapping, there's actual strategy.
I looked at the clock and it was like, 3 AM last night. I'm not usually into these types of games, but this was different. It's like if Stardew Valley had a baby with Monster Hunter, but underwater and with a cat. I even told my cousin Sarah about it today, she's gonna download it too. You seriously gotta play it, man. It's fun. Really, really fun.
